I thought the cymbals sounded fine. Perhaps they were a little too background in the mix, but that's just a matter of personal taste.

The xylophone bells (?) were really cutting through the mix. Is that intentional?

The vocal sounded a tiny bit phasey at times in the high frequencies, but it was not annoying. Maybe it was just the added effects I was hearing.

Overall it was a good mix. The problems I mention here are only minor things which I had to really listen hard to notice. (Isn't that what you want from us?) I would rate it fairly high as a job well done.

I had another comment on the xylophone so I've placed a compressor on it to tame it a bit.

Vocals are two tracks- first take panned down the middle, 2nd take a very slight delay and panned 15 to one side, then I copied some of the accented phrases to a third track, panned harder the opposite side and place a longer delay with a very fast decay.... that may be what you're hearing

and we added a lovely Taylor 12 string

I may cut the odd orchestral interlude from the middle and replace with a single cello
