Ok people....here goes......I am running a HP Pavillion in 64bit with Windows 7 and ProTools LE8.........recently have aquired a pair of 002Rack interfaces, have not connected them yet, still need to get the correct firewire card..........wanting to know if anyone else is running a pair of 002's and what connectivity problems they have had or not had.

I'd head over to the Avid (ProTools) DUC forum  and ask there... also do a search first so you don't get flamed (there's a few jerky boyz  that seem relish jump on folks who haven't done due diligence) . I owned a 002 and used a Digimax via lightipipe... but really don't know how you'd use 2 002's together (seems one would need to be designated "master" and the other "slave" (clocking may be as simple as designating one internal and the other external)

maybe something has changed (I had 8.0 LE and don't remember anything in I/O or hardware set-up that show a 2nd 002 as an option (but then i never really looked)

I'm guessing you can sell one of the 002's for enough to buy a DigiMax or maybe ab D8... but they have internal pre's, so you're limited to 4 dirtect inputs on the 002 and the SPDIF (which will give you 2 more from a external pre with a digital DPDIF out)

Let us kknow what you come up with- my 002R is over at the bass player's house (keeps him entertained)

Ok.so it looks like I might be able to slave the first 002 into the second using the optical out from #1 into the optical in on #2 then firewire the second unit into the puter. The first unit will be seen as ADAT i/o...........hmmmmm think i need to at least give that a shot, already have both 002rack units, looks like all i need to get is an optical cable to give i a shot...... thanks again bro..............
