Analogue mastering studio
« on: May 14, 2011, 04:42:13 AM »
Hi there, my name is Barry and I operate SafeandSound Mastering, my mastering is not $10.00 but it is real mastering
using dedicated high end analogue equipment, mastering reference grade loudspeakers and a fully acoustically treated room. Unlike some online mastering sites you can see pictures to verify this on my website. I have an extensive clients list and many years professional audio engineering background.

When you choose mastering, whoever it is:

1)Ensure the engineer has real professional engineering experience and plenty of it.
2)Ensure the mastering studio is not using small bookshelf speakers.
3)It is nice if the studio uses some top grade equipment, it suggests they are of a certain standard.
4)Always deman to see the room the work will be undertaken in.
5)Get a free preview master if it is possible (it sorts the men from the boys)
6)Graphics based websites suggest the owenr wishes to hide something, whay would that be?
7)When you consider the hourly wage of a pro audio engineer would be $40/£25.00 hour it gives you and idea of what a professional is charging to work in a professional manner.

There are under qualified, under equipped studios (that is saying the least) out there, be diligent when making choices.

All the best with your music making activities.

Barry
