Hi, I'm Toni, Your new member! So glad to be in a company of people, who love making (mixing) music! Let me tell you a little about myself...
As long as i can remember, i was fascinated by music, and i was in a lot of bands as a guitarist, beginning at an early age of 9-10. Played countless amount of gigs and also made a great deal of recording with bands, I was always strangely attracted to mixing and arranging, although i never really saw myself doing that... There was one time, when we were being invited to be present at mixing of bands songs to state our wishes, after the end of the session, the tech guy asked me, if I am involved in mixing/arranging, and when i replied no, he said: "Well, you should be, you had some really creative ideas there...". I was about 20 at that time, and after that, I started to observe myself, As i was never that typical guitarist (you know, showoff who's always trying to be in front or at least on par with the singer), I always, even when playing live, was more focused on music as a whole...
And soon, I've found my true love - mixing, arranging, tweaking... I started to help in some studios, being there for anything they needed and, in a blink of an eye, i was mixing... Honorary work at first, then it grew... I must admit, I was literally obsessed! I spent more time in studios in those next years than in my home... Even made some great deals! People were always very happy (well, not all of them, every now and then there's an occasional "smartass" who's never happy and changes his opinion from session to session, which is really exhausting and annoying), and no matter how hard or time consuming it was, it was never hard for me...
They say that time flies, when you're having fun, which in this case is absolutely true for me, even though there are ALMOST ALWAYS problems, be that for mixing, recording, or live... The more gear you have, the more problems you can expect (not to mention cables, people, and ofcourse, computers - these can give you a fair amount of headache, which I'm sure all of you have experienced at some point

), but no matter what happened, at the end of the day I was always having fun - It's never hard to do what you LOVE TO DO!
I still play guitar in two bands, but now i own a company as a freelance producer, and I'm running my own recording studio... I will launch a website soon, which You will all be invited to visit, where I'll be offering mastering and mixing services, as well as advices from my own experiences here on this forum and I'm sure I'll learn from You too, for that is one process that never ends... The more you learn, the more you see what you don't know! So contact me, ask me anything, i always love to share my knowledge!
Cheers, Toni
