Quiet cooling solution?
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:45:39 AM »
Howdy~

I can't adequately compensate the home a/c, so using an upstairs room for project studio space, with a south-facing window and equipment turned on - gets too bloody hot in summertime!

I would surely appreciate suggestions for a small and quiet, but effective, cooling solution~

Thanks!

I have an upstairs room and the AC just marginally keeps it comfortable and if I had my recording gear up there, I couldn't have the AC running or the condenser mics would pick up the vent sound

record early in the morning/ late at night... I dunno, I don't know of any really quiet AC/cooler units... too bad moisture is bad for electronics... swamp coolers are fairly effective... though still not real quiet

good luck on your quest
