Volume Problem when exporting songs on Garageband ...
« on: October 02, 2010, 09:40:59 PM »
In Garageband :

Notice how when you complete a recording, and choose to "export to disk" or "send song to iTunes" under the SHARE tab, the volume kinda decreases from the original recording ? It seems as though I recorded the song perfectly, but when I export it, the volume drops a couple notches.

I tried to edit the finished product in Audacity - I could get the volume were I wanted it to be, but then the vocals sounded coarse and unclear. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

do you have the equalizer in I-Tunes off?  Is "Sound Enhancer" unchecked in Preferences -> Playback?

I personally don't bounce to i-Tunes as IMHO there are better MP3 codecs out there, and they are not all equal.

Look for one that idicates that it meets RedBook criteria
