Pro Tools part 2

If i buy hardware such as the M-box i will also get pro tools. What version do i get then..? Everybody says you get the latest version, but the latest version cant be on the installation disc if its been laying around in the store for some time. So my question is; do you also get an free update so you can get the latest version?

This question may belong in the "completely stupid questions" section, but Im a noob in this software world  :-[

You should get a free upgrade, assuming you're buying from a bonafide legitimate reseller- Be aware- IF you are on a pre Intel Mac- 8.0x is a s far as you can go... not sure what the Windows limitations are... but check it out before buying
