That's not bad for a rookie. A few minor adjustments will make it a fine job.

The kick drum seems a bit too up front to me. (But maybe you wanted that drive in the song. I don't know.)

The guitar appears to get buried when the bass comes in.

Excellent job on the vocals. They are clear and up front as they should be. (Once you learn how to punch-in you can fix little boo-boos in the tracks.)

More separation/panning may give the band more space. I would move the guitar to the left and perhaps the backup vocals to the right. Anything like that to make it wider.

Keep up the good work. It is far better than my first few mixes were.

Yes, punch in means to record over top of a short section of a track. If the singer makes a mistake or an off note, punch in allows you to layer a new bit on top without re-recording the entire track. If your recorder or DAW software has this feature built in, it behaves like an automatic on/off switch for recording only from the starting and ending points that you select. Then during playback, the new "punched in" part plays at that area instead of the underlying mistake, (...and hopefully it sounds seamless.)

i know what you mean mate and i appreciate there are loads of mistakes but sometimes the singers are incapabel of doing it right or are not worth the time spent on the =tracks so i do the best that i can at this time i do know your right and am working towards better qaulity products
i have a new track that will be up on you tube soon i hope as soon as the singer gets me some photos sent i will make a slide show for it
i'd put it up today but i want to attract as many views as possible to help get work for all involved in the project so i guess it'll wait
stay tooned rawdepth and co theres more to come and thanks
