More gobos!

I decided the hinged double panel was too large to dampen down the bass and guitar amp, so a single, sloping panel was decided upon... and then I thought, what a great place to hang a bass or guitar!

for anyone wondering about my madness, my goal is to get better live recordings with less bleed

..and you can never have enough places to hang your instruments

That's a pretty cool idea. Maybe you could mass produce and sell those things.

Is there a mic behind that shield?

I'll pass on the mass produced idea.. I'll suggest it to my son-in-law (a cabinetmaker) he could pop these out quickly

and yes there's a mic behind - which is one reason the gobos slant back towards the amp... the other reason was to avoid having "legs" out in front (trip hazard)

I wonder if a goose-neck mic holder could be attached to the back as well.

By the way, Gobo is short slang for "go between" panel.

I have a cross-brace on the back, so you could get a podium mount and use either a gooseneck or an extension and easily mount it... If I didn't have desk mic stands I might do that!  great idea
