Recommended Headphones

What headphones are recommended for wearing whilst recording vocals? I want a pair extreamly sound tight so my condensor mic wont pick up.

stainless:
this really depends on how loud the vocalist needs the headphones to be- (or how deaf they've become)  ;D

seriously, headphone bleed is a problem and I've yet to find am absolute-works-everytime set.  I have an older set of Koss KO-727s that work well, buy they are heavy and a lot of folks don't like them.  People with more hair have more sound bleed (seriously)... i've a friend who's into the shaved head look and the headphobnes seems to seal real well around all that skin!!!

I mainly use Sony's (VDJ-600's or 700's which may have evolved into something else... it's getting close to time to think about replacing the headphone.

If you track multiple people, get the same type of headphone so they all have the same basic characteristics

Catnhat:
Don't really have any recommendations, I use AKG M70's.  But wish I had something better.
But when working with a (must of been fairly deaf) vocalist once, and headphone bleedthrough was becoming an issue... I had him pop in his ipod earbuds into the dist. amp, then put a pair of safety earmuffs over the top.  Fixed the bleed through and he was happy/I was happy, but it sure didn't look very comfortable.

RawDepth:
Is the bleed through really a problem? I mean it should be exactly what is played behind the vocals anyway. Once all is mixed, you may never hear that tiny bit of bleed. I just ignore it when I record and it comes out fine anyway.

stainless:
I had some rather deaf players where bleed noticeable, but for the most part I'm with RawD -  only time it's an issue is if one of the tracks on the"bleed mix" need to be re-tracked, or eliminated, which has happened a could of times

with minor bleed, I can usually gate it out without impacting the tail-offs of the vocalist notes
