Hi All, Anyone try the Digitech Eleven Guitar Processor yet?

Aside from the great effects, it looks pretty awesome for sampling and reamping.
For those of you who like humor, here's a clip from George Carlin about Pre recording, (and pre everything else) http://www.youtube.com/user/cmead626#p/a/f/0/2ciWCCy2J8U

Welcome aboard. How do we pronounce your screen name? Just like "Fate"?

Do you mean the Digitech 1101? The description sounds great.

(Thanks for the Carlin. Always loved him.)

the specs look good...if, you don't already have a DAW, unless this is different, it will pretty much only work with ProTools, so that is deffinitely something to think about-  may work live... but an awfully expensive stomp box... and you can probably by one of the modelling amps (Line 6, Fender) for the same or maybe less if live is what you want it for)

also be very aware of what your computer compatibility is- Digi has already ended support for the Mac PPC computers, so should you have one, there won't be much in the way of future upgrades... and if your not on a PC running Vista, you may find yourself in a similar situation.

It also appears that unlike the 002/003 there is no ADAT/lightpipe, so your limited to 8 channels (plus 2 via SPDIF)... and I can't find if it has 8 built in pre's or what....

personally, if your wanting to get into ProTools (or are already there) I'd look at alternate routes and get IK's Amplitube2 or similar

I'd suggest you lurk on the Digi Users forum and see what everyone has to say about Eleven

I guess it would be fair to say as a long time guitarist and ProTools user, Eleven didn't get me too excited... but that's just me.

Individual results may vary!

Good advice Stainless. The Reamping part and the being able to make yourself sound like a oneman band got my attention. Of course. Many people say use Ableton live if you want to be a one man band but I don't know the learning curve on Ableton so.
