Roland JV-50 MIDI recording
« on: December 13, 2009, 11:50:45 AM »
I can't figure out how to set my keyboard to send it to my DAW. I'm using Power Tracks Pro Audio, and all I'm getting from them is that I have to hook up both Midi AND audio. Is setting the MIDI local setting to "Off" all I have to do on the keyboard?

I'm hooked in to my Turtle Beach Riviera soundcard with a joystick port MIDI connector, with both cords connected to my Roland JV-50.

Thank you!

Rusty

welcome to HRS!

I have an older Roland PC-200 but it only has a single midi out, so i'm not sure what to suggets

I looked online for a manual for the JV-50, but this is all i found

[url http://www.rolandus.com/support/downloads_updates/eula.php?FileName=JW50STDS.ZIP[/url]

and I don't think the manual is among this

I'd suggest trying one of the Roland user forums on this issue

or

good luck!  and be sure and come back and let us know how you made out on this!?!

welcome to HRS!

Looking at your manual (page 51) it looks like you should be able to use it with another MIDI interface or your computer (looks like there's a adapter from Midi I/O to USB

If you no longer have you manual- a quick Google of "Yamaha PSR E213" brought up a link to the manual (PDF)

cheers!
