The mix just doesn't sound right without the lava lamp.

Unfortunately, lava lamps and Rottweilers don't "mix" very well.

That's a good looking room. Did you build those traps and clouds yourself?

Not the traps. But the rest we (me n my wife) built.
One thing I screwed up on was that blue foam...foambymail...or somethin like that. Not so great.
But...
They do keep the flutter thang under control.

And I plan on makin some bass trapping to fit in the very front where the angled ceiling meets the walls to help out. Since my room is only like 14 X 20, I figure more trapping can't hurt.

I also noticed that's an old pic. I've got some different gear and new monitors since then.

Anyway, thanx RawDude  It's my happy place.

These have worked really well  and stay in place- MOST all of the rigid fiberglass has similar acoustical characteristics- The DOW-Corning 703 and 705 seems to command a premium because of the difficulty in acquiring (and hname recognition), but most building supply places (excluding the big box stores) can get- All seems to come in cartons that are 24" x 48" and totals 12" in depth (so 1" = 12 pieces, 2" = 6, etc) Certainteed has a CB300 (and other numbers) same stuff- I found it with shipping averaged out to ~ $70-75 a carton-

I've got 2 corners on the other side of the room (not in pic) that I'll do that to. I remember reading a thread somewhere (maybe Gearslutz) that someone was doin that same thing. Looked do-able enough.

BTW...I thought I remembered you. I'm "Dog" from RP. I remember RawDepth too. You guys are why I signed up here.
I'm Dogbreath at a couple other places, Keldog from a couple others... Sniffer O' Butt at one.
I know... I know...I was new at this forum thing and didn't realize I could use the same username.

yeah it's me....  I'm still active there, but trying to help out and get this up and jumping-  I wondered if you'd ever hung at RP... but then maybe some dark past you were trying to hide... witness relocation and all LOL

yeah...I hung there for awhile but...kinda faded, I guess.
Wasn't anything with any folks over there. Just life...
In fact...at the time, my highest post count on any forum was RP. Good people there.
