« on: December 24, 2008, 08:32:04 PM »
anybody else have/use a tube DI?

I just got a Bellari and it really sounds much better, plus there's the potentiometer controlled pad

sweet

Why aren't there more of these?

Hi Bro,

Is that a dedicated direct inject box (for impedance matching) or is it a preamp with a direct plug built in?

I have been dreaming about the BBE DI-1000. I hear good things about it.

Hmm, Bellari. Is that a high end box? Interesting. I'll' have to go read about that one.

It's a dedicated DI (see attached spec sheet)

No longer made, no idea what it might have originally sold for. I stumbled upon it on e-Bay several hours before the bidding ended and no one had bid, so I thru the opening $40 bid at it!  With shipping it was right at $50- less than low/mid priced passive single channel DI

I've used it for bass, electric, and the Taylor/Fishman on the acoustic... happy with all 3

seems a bit phatter than my passive DI's or going it thru a Hi-Z input on the 003 or Presonus

The BBE looks interesting- I've thought about the Bellari's "exciter (I like their stuff.. the "professional" offshoot of Rolls), which I think does something akin to the sonic maximizers

Merry Christmas!
