(1/1)

Hey Everyone:
A couple of the music sites has great deals on bass guitars right now. American Musical Supply and ZZounds Music are closing out 2 Ibanez models. The EBD700 4 string, and SRX 650 4 string bass. These are previous years models, and they have outstanding deals on them. They list at 866 and 733 respectively, and can be had for a paltry 349 and 299. When they were current models, their street price each was around 600.
I just picked up a 5 string version of the EBD at ZZounds. The bass I purchased has a beautiful mahogany finish, and records very well. This bass arrived set up percectly, but I did have to tweak it a touch for my taste. Thought I would pass this bit of info along in case anyone was looking for a fine bass to add for their studio work. After all, its not everyday deals like this come around.

I have a good friend who has played Ibanez for years- I'd like to get a fretless for the studio (not that i can actually play one... but it'd be worth the "tease" to see it daily
I need more musical instruments.... really... i do
Just finished up the final recording session with an Irish punk band, the Black Eyed Dempsy's, final mix Thursday and on their way they go! Great violin player... and she's open to some collaboration down the road!
Friday I go try out with a 5 piece group fronted by a female singer- Americana/alt/bluegrass should be a interesting change from the last band (8 piece)
Debbie Wolfe on Myspace (California... not Baton Rouge)- a definite change for me... but maybe good... change is good... might prod me to get better on pedal steel
I need more instruments...

Hey Stainless: Im enclosing a link for a Fretless Bass at American Musical Supply. Its an Ibanez, and ive had the opportunity to play a couple of these at Guitar Center...(YUK!) At 300 bucks, these are very good sounding and very playable basses. MUCH better than the Squire Jazz Fretless Bass at the same price.
Heres the link....... http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-IBA-SR300F-PW
By the way.... if your debit card carries the visa or mastercard logo.... the payment options they have ARE AVAILABLE. God.. I hate that site!!!!!

looks tempting... I need to get a pedal, either a Digitech RP150 or 250... or an Line 6 XPod for some live noodling... don't know if I should buy both......
fretless bass would be a nice addition
