Try using a standard ride/crash cymbol, record it as analog, frequency shift it down with a gizmo or program and mix it with the original sound. You could add some gated reverb to the straight cymbol sound. Then stick it in your sample player. I use Sonar producer w/ cyclone for the samle player for software but you could use any audio wav editor such as Audacity that has lots of effects, and more can be downloaded than the standard package.

I recently foung this link http://www.freesound.org/ which has a great assortment of different sounds as wave files, free for download
