electric mandolin- any recommendations

stainless:
acoustics record better (IMHO) but for gigging with an otherwise electric band it just doesn't cut it... so I'm shopping (sorta) for an electric manolin

anybody have suggestions

one with a wider fretboard would be really cool... but that's probably asking too much

I just recently ran stage monitors for a band called Giants of Despair. The lead singer, Bret Alexander plays an electric mandolin on some songs. (He is extremely talented, by the way.) If I were you, I would send him an email asking about his equipment. That mandolin sounded sweet.

They also have a guy (Nyke) who plays an electric fiddle.
